Dave & Justine's Wedding

At the end of September we were lucky enough to help celebrate the wedding of Dave & Justine. Dave is one of the post doc's in Andrew's lab and a really nice guy.

The ceremony took place on the beach with the Golden Gate Bridge as a backdrop - it doesn't get much more San Franciscan! Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating right away as indicated by the groom and groomsmen having to hold the hoopa and ribbons blowing horizontal in the wind.

Everyone was in great sprits, regardless, and so excited to witness Dave and Justine tie the knot. They are such a cute couple :)

They have so many wonderful friends and family and it was such a pleasure to get to meet so many of them. It was an intimate wedding (only about 35 guests), giving us the opportunity to chat with just about everyone.

You can start to tell in this picture - the sunshine actually came out for some wedding photos! Actually, as soon as they said 'I do' the sun started to peek out. I suppose it was a sort of wedding gift ;)

A short trolley ride later (yes, I said trolley ride) we arrived at Greens, an incredible vegetarian restaurant at the east end of Crissy Field. The private room at Greens was the perfect venue for a casual and beautiful dinner following the ceremony. And truth be told, we got to take 2 of the orchids home at the end of the night which was incredibly generous of Dave & Justine! And very exciting for me! haha

Sebastian and Dave. Dave and Justine came up with a great way to make sure they saw everyone at dinner - after enjoying the company at one table they moved over to the next, sitting with each table for one course.

All is all, the whole day was simply perfect. It was a classic San Francisco wedding and such a treat to spend the day on the beach with friends and eating delicious food.

Congratulations Dave & Justine!
