We put some tunes on, hand pitted the cherries, made extra flaky pie crust (none of those frozen pre-formed pie crusts for us) and revelled in our beautiful creation once it came out of the oven juicy and golden.
We've had the best time experimenting and hanging out in the kitchen during Court's visit. We've made eggplant sandwiches, chicken & barley, mushroom risotto, lemon steak stir fry, chicken salad, greek omelet, Mexican chili, brownies, fresh basil tomato pasta, summer squash pizza, etc.
All of those years taping our own "cooking show", growing up behind the family video camera in our kitchen has really paid off -- we're ambitious and fun-loving in kitchen, willing to try any new recipe at least once :) The only difference between then and now is that most of our creations are actually edible for humans (they were primarily only fido approved in the old'n days).
