Spouse Swap

The first weekend in February we did a Jones/Lee spouse swap. No, not a wife-swap, a SPOUSE swap :) Andrew flew to Santa Fe for a boys weekend in New Mexico and Katie came here for a girly weekend in Berkeley. We did our usual girly things together - we got our nails done, sat around drinking coffee and eating croissants, shopped, ate at yummy restaurants, etc.

Everywhere we go, we just talk and talk.....and talk and talk......and talk some more :) It's such a blessing to have such a wonderful friend in my life - it's really nice to have someone who understands what's going on in your life (since we're both somewhat newlyweds, moved to new places, started our first jobs around the same time etc.). I was honestly starting to get a little raspy after our weekend of chatting ;) My guess is over in New Mexico the boys' fingers were getting tired from playing so many video games. For boys, beer + video games + bad horror movies = the best weekend ever haha

Plop us down with some fresh bread, cheese and fruit in front of a musical (yes, we watched "Hello Dolly!" haha) and we're happy campers. By the way, the picture above is the only one of the two of us we took all weekend - a lot of talking and not much picture taking happened.
