When you work for a company that lives by a "work hard, play hard" mantra then being a grown-up and working in the real world is awesome. Sometimes my work situation feels more like a dream - for example "working" in Paphos, Cyprus for a few days...this was our "office" for four days...
We've had 2 internal weddings this year (i.e. co-workers who met at work getting married) so what's one more? There was a fake wedding ceremony and reception at the resort the first night we were there. Our other unofficial company motto - "Any excuse for a party!" :)
And again, when on the Greek side of Cyprus - do as the Greeks do... in other words, have a toga party and gladiator contest (of course!) Have you ever seen 225 people in coordinating togas? It was quite a sight.
We also had a fire breather/dancer for entertainment after a massive buffet dinner the second night. I have to say, I was extremely impressed by this girl's performance. The kerosene drenched sand under her performance area made for a stinky dance floor but it was worth it. She was fantastic.
Between all of the fun stuff we did have a whole series of all company and functional meetings, but the best part of the offsite is always the time spent with colleagues.
