Our rough travel plan

In just the past couple of days we have finally hacked out our rough travel plan for the next 5+ weeks. We are currently in Taipei, Taiwan with Scott, Barb, Michelle and Evan until Tuesday. We have a flight booked to Singapore on Tuesday evening. From Singapore we'll bus up through Malaysia into the south of Thailand. From Phuket, Thailand we'll train up to Bangkok. After Bangkok we have some "give" in our schedule. We're trying to go to Vietnam but we're not sure if we can get a visa. If we can't then we'll for sure do Cambodia and Laos. The next stop is then Hong Kong. From Hong Kong we'll go to Shanghai, China. Next Cebu, Philippines. We'll then take a boat to Palawan and Manila in the Philippines. From Manila we'll fly back to Taipei and then homeward. It's a long and ambitious plan but we're VERY excited to start our journey!!

UPDATE: It looks like we will no longer be going to the Philippines. Instead we're planning on going up to Beijing to see the sights and the Great Wall after Shanghai.
