We made it to Taipei!

After 25 hours of travel we finally made it to Scott and Barb's in Taipei. We flew from Chicago to Tokyo - where our adventure really began . . . we landed in Tokyo where they sent on health officials to check for H1N1 infected people. They came around with heat detecting cameras and of course a guy sitting in the row in front of us had a fever. Our whole section got red dots put on our seats and told that we had to remain on the plane. All of the other passengers were allowed off the plane while we had to wait 2 hours after landing. The guy tested positive for H1N1 . . . luckily those of us who were not staying in Japan were allowed off. We had another 3 hour flight to Taipei and then a 40 minute cab ride to Scott and Barb's. When we saw Scott as we got out of the cab we knew we had made it!!

We slept in this morning while Scott and Barb went to school and Michelle and Evan went to work. We all went out for dinner tonight and took a stroll around the city. We are so thankful to be able to recover from jet-lag and settle in with family!

We'll be in Taiwan until Tuesday when we head for Singapore.

We had a lot of food on the plane ride over to Tokyo. The service was great on United - the plane on the other hand could have been newer.

Enjoying ramen noodles and writing in the journal Courts gave me.

The health officials who came onto the plane - they're talking to the guy who had the H1N1 . . .

Our section was the only one left on the plane after landing 2 hours ago . . .
