A few days before our mini day-trip, I asked a gal at work who frequents the Napa region which her favorite wineries were to bring guests to. One of the first she thought of was William Hill and now we know why. We absolutely loved it!!
The winery requires guests to make an appointment prior to arriving, making the grounds a quiet and relaxing place to spend the afternoon. So many wineries are overrun with tasters that you have to elbow your way up to the bar to get served. Not here. We grabbed a picnic table under the arbor to eat our picnic lunch and were served a variety of white wines. The view was spectacular, the food was delicious and the wine was refreshing.

Not a bad view to gaze at while enjoy fresh fruit, bread, cheese and meats with friends :)Another bonus William Hill has to offer: a croquet lawn. None of us remembered how to play but a server was kind enough to give us a quick refresher course. It was hot in the sun, but we had so much fun goofing around on the lawn.
If you hit my ball away from the wicket - watch out! ;)
After Flo led the entire game, Andrew came from behind for the win.
Three days later when Flo and Annika were packing up to leave CA, I asked Annika what her favorite part had been. Without hesitation she said "Napa!" and I think it's pretty easy to see why. It was one of those truly memorable days that you look back on and can't help but smile about.
