Let's see...before the holidays we actually had a pretty relaxing fall/early winter. In November we said farewell to Rob and Brett before they left Cal to come "real people" (i.e. what they call adults who have a real job, haha). It was bittersweet to say goodbye to the graduating class. Most of them have been here for 5.5+ years and were ready to be done with school, but it's weird not seeing them all the time now! Pretty much all of us were/are transplants from somewhere else in the country and we've become something of a family. It seemed fitting to have a farewell family dinner to send the boys off to Exxon (they actually live together in NJ now - they're taking the whole growing up thing in stages....haha)
We also had to take Brett to Bakesale Betty's one last time for their AWESOME fried chicken sandwich with spicy slaw.
Of course the other big event of November was Thanksgiving. I didn't take Friday off, so we decided to stick around in Berkeley. Last year the Sacia's hosted so it was our turn this year. Andrew and I cooked our first turkey - luckily it was a total success.
We had enough food for probably 10 but leftovers for only ~2. You do the math ;) We were full...
Thank goodness for wonderful friends!
(p.s. I realize blogging about Thanksgiving after the New Year is a little silly but thanks for continuing to read!)
