In early August we had the absolute pleasure of hosting Nini, Poppa and Sandi for a few days on their West Coast road trip. The last time Nini came to visit (back in 2010 with Karen) we were treated to lunch at Chez Panisse - Alice Water's world famous restaurant in North Berkeley. This time we were extra spoiled with a 4-course dinner in the main dining room. Oh my was it an experience! The ambiance and wine pairings were wonderful; the food was fresh and flavorful; and of course the company incredible.
The next day, after Andrew showed off his lab space and the view of SF from the Berkeley hills, I showed Nini, Poppa and Sandi around Berkeley and Albany before we lunched out on the patio at Jupiter and made our way into SF for dinner at AQ, one the the most popular new restaurants in SF known for its seasonal menu.
Always filled with interesting conversation, delicious food and reminiscing we treasure the time we get to spend with Nini and Poppa.
