Last month we mourned and celebrated the end of the season/era for Dee's Lovenuts - our beloved coed summer softball team. With the graduation of Sean Dee (hence the "Dee's" part of our name) and Brett Loveless (hence the "Love" portion of our name) next year we will play under a new name and without many of our closest friends.
It hadn't really hit us until just recently how many of our friends out here are a few years older than us and are just about the launch into their lives "real people" (the ChemE's affectionately call spouses and anyone with a job a "real person" haha). It'll be weird not having them around but now we have lots of fun (or not so fun/glamorous - three of our good friends are moving to NJ to work for Exxon) places to visit.
We lost only one game in the regular season this year - a great way to end the run of Dee's Lovenuts!
