Riley's 3rd Visit

Andrew's good friend Riley from undergrad made his third trip up from LA to see us. He's transferring to Boston in a month so we were happy to have one more opportunity to hang out in the Bay Area.

We invited the Sacia's along for a sunny Saturday of beer and wine tasting up in Sonoma. We had never done the Lagunita's brewery tour but Andrew's favorite beer is their IPA. The tour, beer garden, food and (of course) beer were great.

'Cool dudes' on the brewery tour. We all smelt like hops after walking out of the warehouse - it's such an odd and distinct smell.

Then it was off to a few vineyards.

Riley's roommate down in LA actually grew up in Sonoma and his family owns a winery - Little Vineyards. (btw, Im now saving all of our wine corks from out here to make one of these wreaths as a keepsake from our time in CA. Isn't it cool!?)

It was a really cute little family run vineyard, complete with a vineyard cat and dog, who probably get more love than just about any pets around.

Riley really appreciated us taking him up to the vineyard. We were happy to oblige - the wines were delicious.

Andrew is always making the weirdest faces, brewery and winery visits don't help. Case in point.

On the way home we swung by a great place close to home that offers its own micro brews and a serves a pretty good menu. Eric got the tasting sampler of each beer they offer. He was pretty excited about it :)

Not surprisingly, Riley was a fun and easy house guest once again. We relaxed on Sunday morning and then watched the first half of the Packer's (losing, haha) game before Riley hit the road home. We're going to try and make it down to LA before he leaves, but if not - Boston here we come!
