Neighbor Dinner

After trying to coordinate a night with our neighbors Lauren and Mary Beth for 6+ months we finally had them over for dinner. It was the first time we've entertained guests and our first opportunity to entertain on the great teak wood table we got when we first moved out here.

We made a salad, pesto pasta and bread. Lauren and Mary Beth brought wine and fruit for dessert. The table looked great (thanks to everyone for all of the beautiful wedding gifts) and it was so fun to get to know our neighbors.


When Andrew and I got back from the grocery an hour before Lauren and Mary Beth were to arrive there was a package from Karen Jones waiting for us - she sent us these GORGEOUS salad tongs, just because :) What a nice surprise and the timing couldn't have been more perfect!


We already have plans to hangout with Mary Beth while Lauren is in China for 2 months and we'll have a "Welcome Back" dinner when Lauren returns. It's so wonderful to get to know your neighbors - we're lucky to have such nice ones!
