Our first day in Baton Rouge we went downtown to see where Adam works and to visit the capitol building. The buildings behind us are the 'skyline' of Baton Rouge...a little different then San Francisco ;) It's so fun to compare the two cities - they couldn't be more different.
We also visited the LSU campus. It was really quiet on campus because all of the students had time off for Mardi Gras. LSU is the only college in the US that doesn't hold school over Mardi Gras so that the students can celebrate.
Baton Rouge had the COOLEST trees. They were massive and just begging to be climbed.
On Monday we toured a haunted house. This is a 'haunted mirror' in the foyer of the home. Supposedly every time it has been replaced the same marks have re-appeared including a creepy one that looks like a claw of sorts.
The backside of the haunted house.
Why can't we be as photogenic as them ;) haha
Our random day trip took us to a historic site with its very own turkey. When it was time to go he followed us all the way to the car - he loved us and wanted to come home with the nice people.
Next post - Mardi Gras!!!
